Why be a Spartan?

Welcome to Luxemburg-Casco School District, home of the Spartans!

What does it mean to be a Spartan? Spartans are disciplined and dedicated individuals, but what sets us apart is the way we support one another. Staff at Luxemburg-Casco make it their primary goal to make a positive impact upon every student - to connect with and lift up our students who need support, and to continually challenge our high achievers. This effort is highlighted by L-C's status as a top performer in northeast Wisconsin according to state performance reports and report cards.

It's not only our staff who are supportive, though. Our students are highly supportive of one another as well as their fellow community members. Clubs such as the Community Problem Solvers, Leos Club and Sting Cancer work hard to give back to our community and make the world better.

The Luxemburg-Casco community itself is the foundation of this great school district. Local businesses reach out to improve the educational journeys and lives of our students, families join the many charitable causes that our students work so hard for, and community members come out in great numbers to support our many successful athletic and fine arts programs. This support fosters an excellent sense of togetherness and helps to instill within our students the value of contributing and being part of a great community.

Spartans also uphold an outstanding tradition of athletic and extracurricular success, having earned more than 26 state titles in team sports and numerous accolades for various clubs and organizations. Sports such as wrestling, girls basketball, boys soccer, and cross country have sent teams or individuals to state tournament competitions within the last few years, in addition to activities like Community Problem Solvers and One-Act Play earning state and even international honors.

Being a Spartan means being a positive contributor to the world along whichever path is best for you. At Luxemburg-Casco, Spartans develop and grow so that they are ready for their next journey beyond our walls. But Spartans also learn an appreciation for community and the importance of supporting one another in order to be a positive contributor to any class, team, company, organization or community that lies in their future.

Enough about us though. What are your goals and aspirations, as a student or as a family? We'd love to invite you to our district to show you all of the wonderful opportunities we have to offer, and we'd enjoy sitting down and discussing with you how Luxemburg-Casco could be the perfect place for you or your student to embark on an excellent educational journey. Check out the other areas of our website to learn more, and schedule a visit to tour our district and meet our superintendent, Dr. Jo-Ellen Fairbanks. We look forward to meeting you, future Spartan!
