District Strategic Planning

The Luxemburg-Casco School District is embarking on a comprehensive strategic planning process aimed at charting the future direction of its schools. This initiative seeks to involve a wide array of stakeholders, including parents, teachers, administrators, staff, students, and community members, in crafting a shared vision for the district.

To kick off this strategic planning effort, the district will host an open community engagement session on Wednesday, November 19, at 6:00 PM in the Heritage Room of Luxemburg-Casco High School. This meeting is open to all community members, who are encouraged to attend and provide their valuable feedback.

In addition to the community meeting, the district plans to distribute postcards to households featuring a QR code that links to an online survey. The district will also conduct a series of focus groups to further aid in the strategic plan's development.

At the heart of this planning process will be the Strategic Planning Workgroup, composed of parents, guardians, teachers, staff, and community members. This group will focus on fostering innovative and strategic thinking while actively engaging the community in visioning efforts. The workgroup is tasked with offering thoughtful oversight and guidance to district leaders and board members.

The initial Strategic Planning Workgroup meeting is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Heritage Room of the High School. Additional meetings will follow on February 7 and March 7, 2026, during the same time slot. Interested individuals are invited to register for participation by emailing Superintendent Dr. Jo-Ellen Fairbanks at jfairbanks@luxcasco.k12.wi.us.

“This is an exciting time for our district as we come together to shape our shared vision for the future,” said Superintendent Dr. Jo-Ellen Fairbanks. “Our strategic plan will serve as a roadmap for how we continue to grow, innovate, and best serve our students and community. We look forward to hearing a wide range of perspectives and ideas through this collaborative process.”

The school district emphasizes that community involvement is key to establishing a long-term framework for decision-making that reflects the shared values of the community. The completion of the strategic planning process is anticipated in the spring of the 2025-26 school year, at which point the findings will be presented to the Board of Education and released to the public in a Strategic Plan report.
