* Low balance reminder slips will be sent home when your child has a balance equivalent to the cost of 5 hot lunches. Sending notices with a positive balance will allow plenty of time to send a deposit, in an envelope clearly marked with the following information: Child's name, Homeroom, Grade, Lunch Money and Dollar amount sent. Please remember it takes time for the money to pass from child to teacher to office personnel then to be deposited into the Power Lunch System.
* We understand circumstances arise. Although we do not encourage charging lunches (negative lunch balance), if this happens, we will allow no more than 2 charged lunches. If your child's account reaches a 2 lunch negative balance the lunch card will be pulled and held in the office and the account frozen until money has been deposited. No meal will be denied to a student that has qualified for free lunch as this would violate Federal Lunch Program Rules.
* All parents are encouraged to apply for free and reduced meals to see if they qualify. Forms are distributed to each household at the beginning of the school year and available in the District and school offices.
* Any positive balance at the end of the school year will carry over to the next school year. Any negative balance must be paid prior to the start of the following school year before the account can be activated.
