I have truly enjoyed my middle school experiences and know that it is the right fit for me. Being a middle school principal is an interesting job. No two days are alike, but what I hope to accomplish each day is to make a difference in someone's life. School is a wonderful place full of opportunity to make a difference and to touch the lives of our youth.
My professional interests include keeping up with the latest developments in technology for learning purposes, learning more about reading acquisition and reading instruction, reading about the brain and brain-based learning, developing strategies for meeting individual learning needs, and learning more about classroom and behavior management strategies.
I have been married to my wife, Randi, for eight years. We have three children- Tanner, Brielle, and Kaylyn. My children enjoy camping, swimming, bowling, and playing/learning on the i-pad. I enjoy golfing with Randi (okay, someday my wife and I will go golfing again), fishing with my son Tanner, driving the lawn tractor with Bri on my lap, and getting Kaylyn to crack a smile for her Dad. I know many of you are also proud parents, and I appreciate the intricacies of balancing a busy life with kids and a career.
I truly believe in putting the children we serve first and base all of my decisions on what is best for our students. I am very excited to be a part of the L-C School District that is on the cutting edge of technology and continues to update and modify its curriculum to meet the ever-changing 21st century. As your principal, my role is to help students grow socially, emotionally, and educationally to be the best individuals they can be.
If you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or thoughts, please don't hesitate to let me know. It is a great day to be a SPARTAN!
