BIOGRAPHY:
I am the Principal at the Intermediate School and have had the privilege of working with some fantastic students and staff.  It’s been an interesting journey to see how far we’ve come since I began in the school district in 2003.  We were a school without walls and now we have walls, but not doors.  However, that hasn’t seemed to be a barrier to all that we can accomplish.  Our school is a unique population of third through sixth grade students.  We run both an elementary and middle school schedule.  Our students have the opportunity to experience Spanish at all grades and band and chorus at the upper grades.  I have had the opportunity to hire about half of the staff that currently work in the Intermediate School.  The entire staff is a great collection of hard working individuals that go above and beyond to help students to be successful.

Prior to coming to Luxemburg-Casco, I was an Associate Principal at Lineville Intermediate School in Howard-Suamico for three years.  I also taught in that same school district for nine years.  It was a great opportunity for me to develop my leadership skills prior to making the move to become a building Principal.  I assisted with the academic programming and configuration of the new intermediate school.  I also helped to develop a school wide discipline program tied to both academic and behavioral success.  While in Howard-Suamico, I also developed a love of running and realized that it gave me a chance to make additional positive connections with my students.  I was instrumental in developing their Jump Rope For Heart and Kids in Training for the Bellin programs.  I’ve also been fortunate to restart JRFH in the Intermediate School and help to grow our Bellin Training program in Luxemburg-Casco.

Outside of school, I love all sports ~ both participating and being a spectator.   I am still an active runner (more like a shuffler or waddler these days), biker and golfer.  I also enjoy traveling and getting away to sit in the sun and read a good book or two.  I’m fortunate to be a season ticket holder of the Green Bay Packers ~ tickets that were originally owned by my parents.  I also have a soft spot for dogs and for the first time in a long time I do not currently have one.

I believe in pushing the limits and being pushed to the limit and that is what we will do to help our students be the best that they can be.  In this ever-changing education system, we strive to stay stride for stride in the race.  I encourage our students to read to lead and know that this will help them in all areas of life.  Students, staff and parents together make the greatest impact on our students.  Let’s continue to "prepare today for the challenges of tomorrow”.
