You will be given some choice in the activities you would like to participate in; however, offerings will be based on numbers so that may influence your final placement. A Day
  • Last night the School Board decided to change the mask policy, effective today, to return to our COVID guidelines from April 6 to May 5. Based on how many of you were wearing masks on your way in it seems you knew that: I appreciate you all. Essentially, masks are required in all parts of the building with the exception of those spaces where a person is behind a barrier and socially distanced at least six feet (note, staff alone in their rooms may leave their mask down until someone else enters the room). We all have thoughts or feelings about this and we’re asking everyone to show one another respect. Let’s show our Spartan Pride and “the golden rule” to treat others as we would like to be treated. Any teasing, picking on, or potential bullying will not be tolerated. Any student who experiences such negativity should contact an adult immediately. Staff members should report that information, and any instances where they are treated negatively, to Mr. Chandler. Any student who engages in this type of negative behavior toward a student or staff member will be severely disciplined.

  • Current 7th graders: scheduling forms are due to the office tomorrow.

  • Last night the School Board decided to change the mask policy to be optional in all cases. While many of you are likely to be very excited by this update, I’m asking everyone to respect anyone who may choose to wear a mask here at school. We will have continued discussion regarding barriers: whether we’ll keep them up, some of them, etc.

  • The School Board also decided to make May 28 the last day of school for grades PK-8. The staff and I will be working out the details of the plan for the final days of school. More to follow.

  • A follow up from the previous morning announcement. As I announced, masks are optional for students and the expectation is we are all respectful to those who choose to wear them. Any teasing, picking on, or potential bullying will not be tolerated. Any student who experiences such negativity should contact an adult immediately. Any student who engages in this type of behavior (negative toward a student who chooses to wear a mask) will be severely disciplined.
