We are pleased to announce that the Luxemburg-Casco School District will be piloting a Destination Imagination program this year! What is Destination Imagination (DI)? DI is an international educational program that uses STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics) to develop 21st-century skills. This creative outlet teaches leadership, problem solving and teamwork while solving one of six open-ended challenges. The solutions to these challenges are presented at a regional tournament in early spring. Who can Participate? Any student in grades 5K-12. Students in grades K-2 can participate in Rising Stars, a non-competitive level of DI that introduces children to the program. How are teams formed? Each team consists of 2-7 members (Rising Stars can have 10). Each team needs at least one adult Team Manager. Where can I learn more?
