AHNAPEE DIESEL

Ahnapee Diesel is the first program of its kind in the state of Wisconsin and an educational initiative of the Luxemburg-Casco School District located in the former middle school facility in Casco. The program is a consortium of area schools including Luxemburg-Casco, Denmark and Kewaunee.  The students in their junior and senior years are provided with the opportunity to earn college credits while also receiving credit towards high school graduation through this partnership with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC).

Through successful completion of NWTC’s new Diesel Maintenance Technician (DMT) curriculum, students attain a one-year technical diploma. Following graduation from high school, they may choose to ladder into an associate degree in Medium and Heavy Truck Technology or Heavy Equipment Technology as well as a two-year technical diploma in Medium and Heavy Truck Technician or Heavy Equipment Technician.

Ahnapee Diesel is made possible by meaningful partnerships with the local diesel industry. Area companies who are supporting the diesel curriculum through investment and opportunities for hands-on student work are America’s Service Line, Packer City International, Master Fleet, Kriete Trucking, Paper Transport Inc., DeBroux Custom Work, Ducat Trucking, Service Motor, CSM Companies, Wisconsin Kenworth, Roland Machinery and Joski Trucking.
