LUXEMBURG, Wis. – Darryl Johnson II, a nationally known composer based in Southern California, is spending today (March 3) working with students of the Luxemburg-Casco middle and high schools. Johnson has composed a number of film scores during his professional career.

Johnson is in the classroom as part of his Meet-The-Composer program. Johnson then returns next Tuesday night (March 7) to conduct the schools’ public musical performances.

Media are invited to cover today’s hands-on work with Johnson. He is spending time with students from 8-9:15 a.m., 9:30-11 a.m. and 12:15-1:30 p.m. All three sessions are being held in the main auditorium of Luxemburg-Casco High School, located at 512 Center Dr. in Luxemburg, Wis.
